Amy J. Belanger, M.S.
Organizational Development Consultant
Amy Belanger joins ForestR with more than 25-years’ experience founding, growing, and directing environmental and social justice nonprofit, electoral, and advocacy organizations at the national, regional, and local levels. She is a cofounder of The Green Party USA, and formerly held lead roles in Green America, Earth Day Network, Student Environmental Action Coalition, to name a few. As a consultant, she facilitates the formation, development, and scaling-up of mission-driven organizations.
With a master’s degree in psychology, Belanger utilizes psychological insights and social science research to inform strategies for social, personal, and organizational growth. During the pandemic, she established VeggiePalooza, a community-based food security program, which has helped start, support and supply hundreds of home gardens in the San Francisco East Bay.
In addition to serving as ForestR’s development director, she is co-developing our school-based Food Security and Green Jobs program, based on the VeggiePalooza model.
Amy is passionate about regenerating, enjoying, and living in right relationship with nature and all of her creatures, great and small.
