My love of fruit trees and backyard produce was planted early—thanks to my grandfather, my Hoppa—who taught me the joy of growing, picking, and sharing what the earth gives us. Today, I carry that passion into my role as the Martinez lead for Contra Costa Fruit Rescue. I’m deeply committed to reducing food waste and making sure that the abundance around us doesn’t go to waste, especially when so many in our community are facing food insecurity.
