Purpose

Our mission is to infuse our community with nature by emphasizing planting, gardening, tree care, food justice, and educational garden spaces. As we develop the area, we prioritize maintaining dedicated spaces for these vital aspects, ensuring a sustainable and enriching environment for all.

Join us in cultivating Paradise Pocket Park into a hub of greenery, learning, and community connection.

Community Partnership

Plantify.org

“Plantify is proud to partner with ForestR in stewarding Paradise Community Garden as a welcoming space for environmental education, community science, and neighborhood connection.

Since joining the partnership in 2024, Plantify has led the garden’s redesign and continues to coordinate weekly stewardship, volunteer engagement, educational programming, and public garden hours. Through initiatives such as the Grow With Us program, seasonal workshops, and free community events, the garden has become a place where people of all ages can learn, volunteer, and connect with nature.

Together with ForestR, we share a commitment to cultivating an accessible, community-centered green space that supports local biodiversity, food growing, and environmental learning.“

Amenities

Planter Boxes

Paradise is home to a wealth of planter boxes tended by ForestRs all year round. These planters provide fertile soil for vegetables and flowers, and double as learning spaces for community members interested in learning how to garden.

Greenhouse

Our first ForestR greenhouse was built up in Paradise to provide a warm, hospitable space for young seedlings before they’re put into the earth at all our ForestR parks!!

Bee Hive

We’re partnered with Joe’s Honey, a multi-generation, family owned and operated team of local beekeepers and now have our own Paradise bee hive! Stay tuned to our Action Updates to catch one of our honey tasting events.

Gathering Space

Plenty of seating, from picnic tables to tree stumps. A perfect event space for garden parties, cooking classes, and planting lessons.
