Adopt-A-Highway Projects

ForestR is dedicated to organizing our communities for the cleaning, planting, and maintaining of our shared spaces.

We are excited to be able to partner with our friends at the California Department of Transportation in caretaking for our public lands.

Current projects include:

Local Litter Abatement

Every Saturday ForestR cleaning teams spread out along local freeways for litter collection and fire abatement services. Cleaning this earth one plot of land at a time.

Adopt-A-Highway event days are open invitation for family, friends, and neighbors to join us in picking trash along the the 580/880/680 freeways.

We meet up at various locations each weekend. Please check our Facebook page for this next weekend’s cleaning location, time, and openings in coming weekends.

ForestR (and our Caltrans sponsors) provide hard hats, gloves, bags, and safety vests. However, you are free to bring your own supplies as you would like.

Please dress for the weather. Keep in mind that the it is often cold in these open areas. You may also get a bit of a workout, but likely not enough to break a sweat.
